Who We Are: About NOMAD Science
NOMAD Science: Northern Mongolia Adventure and Discovery in Science is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that organizes international, interdisciplinary research programs based in the remote, but stunningly beautiful Darkhad Depression, northern Mongolia.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION: NOMAD Science depends on respect, diversity, and inclusion to produce good research and engaging learning opportunities. We strive to create a safe learning and working environment that celebrates and welcomes people of all genders, sexualities, races, abilities, religions, political affiliations, nationalities, and educational levels. See our sexual harassment policy here.
Formerly known as the Northern Mongolia Archaeology Project (NMAP), NOMAD Science seeks to use scientific inquiry to explore the natural and cultural resources of northern Mongolia through research and conservation efforts.
We work with local and international stakeholders, professionals, students, life-long-learners, volunteers, and tourists to produce high quality, data driven research and teach professional field research skills. In the process, we also create memorable experiences and lifelong friendships.
